My therapist made a phone call to my mother earlier this week on my behalf.  Let me back up a few here...

Two years ago an injury, which was originally caused by abuse at 14 years of age, re-emerged and it would wait no longer to be addressed.  The physical pain was intense and was unable to sustain employment.  I pressed on after one a year in hopes of moving on, but it had much more in store for me.  I eventually fell into a deep depression because I ended up wheel chair bound.
